Instant Pot: Coffee

Yes friends, you can make coffee in your IP. You can also make concentrate for your cold coffee beverages as well.
I've been told that some people put the ground coffee in a cheesecloth bag inside the Instant Pot, rather than directly in the insert. I have not tried it myself, but this will be much quicker as no draining is needed. Please let me know if you try it.

Steps
- 1
Measure Water: Use about 1 cup (240 mL) of water for every 2 tablespoons of coffee grounds.
- 2
Add Coffee Grounds: Place the coffee grounds in the Instant Pot's inner pot.
- 3
Add Water: Pour the measured water over the coffee grounds.
- 4
Seal the Instant Pot: Close the lid and ensure the steam release valve is set to "Sealing."
- 5
Select the Pressure Cook Setting: Set the Instant Pot to cook on high pressure for about 4 minutes.
- 6
Natural Release: After the cooking time is complete, allow the pressure to release naturally for 5 minutes, then switch the valve to "Venting" to release any remaining pressure.
- 7
Strain the Coffee: Use a fine mesh strainer or coffee filter to separate the coffee from the grounds.
- 8
Serve: Pour the brewed coffee into your favorite mug and start your day off with some pep in your step.
Tips
Coffee Quality: Use fresh, high-quality coffee for better flavor.
Experiment with Ratios: Adjust the coffee-to-water ratio based on your taste preference.
Clean the Pot/Ring: Make sure to clean the Instant Pot after use to avoid any coffee residue buildup. I also dedicate a specific silicone ring to my coffee and tea so that it does not impart tastes and smells to my other foods.
