Green beans with fresh coconut
Easy-to-cook green beans

Chop green beans very fine and steam cook with very little water salt. Set aside.

Grate white portion of the fresh coconut and set aside.

In a pan heat oil, add split black dal, stir until slightly brown. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, whole red chilli split into 2, finely sliced green chillies, curry leaves and turmeric.

Add steamed beans and stir for a minute or two. Take off the stove. Add part of the grated coconut and stir. Take out into serving dish, add remaining grated coconut on top and garnish with coriander leaves. Serve as a side dish with rice.
