Ingredients

4-serving
  • 1/2 kilogramKing fish
  • 1 noOnion sliced
  • 3 noGreen chili
  • 1Chopped ginger
  • 1Tomato sliced
  • 1 tspTurmeric
  • 1 tspChillipowder
  • 3 tbspsKashmiri chili powder
  • 1 tspSugar
  • to tasteSalt
  • Tamarind lemon big size
  • 9 clovesgarlic Crushed
  • 4 tbspsCoconut oil
  • handfulCurry leaves

Steps

30 mins
  1. 1

    Tamarind soaked in hot water and one cup thick juice is extracted.

  2. 2

    Crush all ingredients except fish,with your hands.

  3. 3

    Add two cups of water and boil it.

  4. 4

    Now slowly add the fish,simmer for about half an hour. Close the  vessel. Meanwhile check the consistency.

  5. 5

    Finally add crushed garlic,curry leaves and coconut oil and close the lid immediately.(no need of tempering)

  6. 6

    Keep aside. Reheat after 3-4 hrs.

  7. 7

    Serve with hot rice.
