Sheera/Sooji halwa

Sheera is a dessert made from semolina. Its mostly made as an offering to God in poojas. Its a yummy breakfast option too. It makes a power packed meal with dry fruits,banana and cardamom added to roasted semolina.
We need fine semolina and ghee for making sheera. And sugar,banana,few cashews,raisins,cardamom powder.
Roast semolina and ghee on a low flame,till it turns golden yellow and a nice roasted aroma fills the kitchen!
Now add the cashews and roast till they are golden. Add mashed banana and roast for some more time,till it dries completely.
Add hot water at this stage and keep stirring the mixture till water evaporates.
Now add sugar and stir more. Add raisins and cardamom powder. Keep the pan covered for some time to let the sheera cook.
That's it! Steaming hot sheera is ready to be served!

Roast semolina and ghee on a low flame for 20 to 25 minutes. Keep stirring continuously.

Keep 1 glass of water for boiling in a pot.

After the semolina turns golden yellow,add cashews and roast them.

Now add the mashed banana and roast it till its dry.

Add hot water as required and keep stirring.

Let the water evaporate and add sugar,raisins and cardamom powder.

Cover the pan and cook till sheera is nice and fluffy.
