Ingredients

  • 2 cupspartially cooked rice (about 400 grams)
  • 5medium boiled potatoes
  • 1 cupfine Turkish bulgur (about 160 grams)
  • Spices: black pepper, cumin, salt, cinnamon, and turmeric
  • 2.2 poundsground beef or lamb (about 1 kilogram)
  • 1finely chopped onion
  • Pine nuts

Steps

  1. 1

    Finely grind the rice, potatoes, and bulgur together until very smooth.

    Add the spices and grind again to combine.

    The kibbeh dough is now ready. For the filling, sauté the onion with the ground meat and spices until cooked through, then add the pine nuts.

    Shape the dough into balls, form an indentation as shown in the picture, and add the filling.

    Seal and shape as shown in the picture. If the dough sticks, wet your fingers with water. Repeat until all the dough is used.

    Fry in oil until golden brown. Enjoy!
