Ingredients

  • 3-3.5 cupcurd (yogurt or dahi)
  • 2mangoes, chopped (aam)
  • 4-5green cardamom, crushed (hari elaichi or choti elaichi)
  • 1 pinchsaffron strands (kesar)
  • 1/2 cupsugar or as required

Steps

  1. 1

    Hung the curd in a muslin, cheese cloth or kitchen napkin for 3-4 hours.

  2. 2

    Puree the mangoes

  3. 3

    Add the thick hung curd to the blender along with crushed cardamom, saffron and sugar.

  4. 4

    Blend till smooth

  5. 5

    Pour shrikhand in individual serving bowls.

  6. 6

    Chill and serve the amrakhand with some pooris or just have it plain
