In a mixing bowl, mix together gram flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder and salt, mix well.

Add enough water to make a thick batter.

Heat oil in a karahi. Dip the brinjal pieces into the batter, one at a time and gently slide into the karahi, fry till crisp and golden brown.

Serve with your choice of dip.
