Chicken Basil Stir-Fry with Fried Egg

Ingredients

  2. Chili peppers, to taste
  3. Garlic, to taste
  4. Fresh Thai basil leaves, to taste
  5. 1/2 tablespoonvegetable oil (7.5 ml)
  6. 1/2 tablespoonsugar (6 grams)
  7. 1/2 tablespoonfish sauce (7.5 ml)
  8. 1 tablespoonoyster sauce (15 ml)
  9. 1large egg

    Coarsely pound the garlic and chili peppers together.

    Heat a pan over medium heat and add the vegetable oil. Once hot, add the pounded garlic and chili peppers. Stir-fry until fragrant, then add a splash of water to enhance the aroma. Add the chicken breast and all the seasonings. Stir-fry until the chicken is cooked through and the flavors are well combined. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Add the Thai basil leaves, stir briefly, then turn off the heat.
