Ingredients

12 pieces
  • Dough
  • 2/3 cupmilk at 40°C
  • 30 gfresh yeast 
  • 1/2 tspsugar 
  • 2 cupsall purpose flour 
  • 1/4 tspsalt 
  • 2 tbspoil 
  • For the filling
  • 2 cupsgrated kaseri (Greek traditional semi-hard cheese) 
  • 1 cupgrated kefalograviera (Greek traditional hard cheese) 
  • 12 stripsbacon, ham or salami 
  • cocktail sausages 
  • butter in small pieces

Steps

  1. 1

    Dissolve the yeast in the milk together with the sugar. 

  2. 2

    Add the rest of the ingredients and knead. 

  3. 3

    Set the dough aside to rise for about 45 minutes. 

  4. 4

    Roll out oval-shaped sheets of about 12 cm and add the filling. Fold the peinirlis. 

  5. 5

    Set them aside for 15 minutes and bake at 190°C for 10 minutes.
