In pressure cooker heat 1 tbsp of oil. Once oil heated add musturd seeds and wait till it starts crackling. Adr jeera, curry leaves and hing with ginger garlic paste. Saute it for few minutes

Later add onion and chopped potato.and stir it till onion become translucent.

Add red chilli powder, kala masala, turmeric and mix and wait till it starts seperating oil.

Add soaked rice and dal and stir it with masala. Once it mixed well add water which should be double of rice and dal. Mix it and add salt

Once it starts boiling put lid on and cook it for 2 whistles. Open lid once pressure cooker cool down garnish it with coriander.

Khichadi tastes good kadhi and maharashtrian style pickle.
