Very tasty...can be added right to schnitzel and other breaded meat dishes and even with steak. The peppers and green onions enhance flavor. I let the sauce cook on low heat for at least 30 minutes.

Very tasty...can be added right to schnitzel and other breaded meat dishes and even with steak. The peppers and green onions enhance flavor. I let the sauce cook on low heat for at least 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  1. 3/4 cupKetchup
  2. 3/4 cupVegetable Oil
  3. 1 pinchSalt
  4. 1 pinchPepper
  5. 2 tspPaprika
  6. 1Green Onions
  7. 1/2Green Pepper
  8. 1/2 eachRed Pepper

Cooking Instructions

    Heat small sauce pan

  2. 2

    Add ketchup and oil and heat

  3. 3

    Begin to add paprika in small increments to taste

  4. 4

    Add peppers..slice peppers in long, narrow strips

  5. 5

    Add green oinions

  6. 6

    Cook and either add more paprika, salt,pepper to taste

  7. 7

    Heat and stir till sauce bubbles slightly

  8. 8

    Serve on top of wienerschitzel or on side...this is good for breaded pork chops too and with other meats.

    Basically I just alternate adding small amounts of either ketchup or oil to suit our tastes. We love this and so do our friends. People are always asking me to make this for dinners and parties. I first had this at a restaurant in Koblenz, Germany and in other cities and loved it. Just add paprika, salt and, pepper to taste.
