Iraqi-style Bulgur Kibbeh (Jareesh)

Soak the bulgur in a little water with salt and black pepper for 15 minutes.

See previous recipes for how to prepare the meat filling.

Once the dough is well mixed, shape it into discs and roll them as shown in the picture.

In a pot, chop a small onion and sauté it with a little oil over heat. Add the tomato juice and tomato paste, and bring to a boil. Then boil the kibbeh discs in the sauce. If you like, you can add a can of cooked chickpeas. Enjoy!

You can serve this dish with white rice on the side.
