Potatoes Cooked in Milk
I came up with this recipe when I was cooking cabbage and Chinese cabbage in milk.It burns more easily when cooking with milk, so stop while there is still a little milk left. You don't have to be accurate with the amount of milk or margarine. It breaks apart easily when transferring to a dish, so I recommend using a spatula. For those who prefer a richer taste, add more butter. Recipe by Tomoniku.

Chinese Cabbage & Lotus Root Salad
I learned this recipe from my mother, who used to be a flight attendant for Japan Airlines long long ago. They served this salad in First Class. It was very popular, even though it was so simple. On board, there were apparently two types of dressing you could choose from.If you use a small lotus root you can use the slices without cutting them up for a cuter appearance (cut the larger slices in half). If you can, try to use the thicker leaves on the inside of the Chinese cabbage. Otherwise it will become watery and slushy. Make sure you thoroughly dry off the water after washing them. Recipe by Setsubunhijiki

Tamagoyaki Made With Burdock Root Tea
Burdock root tea is basically finely chopped burdock, right? I didn't want to be wasteful, so I added them to my tamagoyaki.I tore the tea bag open and there was finely chopped burdock root inside. I figured "I could use this!" I was worried that it might be bitter, so I added a bit of mild, aromatic cheese. The 1.5 g is the weight of the teabag that I used.First, use the burdock root tea to prepare miso soup, then after that, you could use the tea leaves in the tamagoyaki--using the burdock root to its fullest. Dropzopie: Dutch sailor's booze
It’s believed that dropzopie is invented around 1780 in Schiedam, a Dutch town famous for it's production of Jenever. The alcoholic drink is traditionally created by distilling malt wine and adding juniper berries, liquorice root and star anise for flavor.Back in the day it was known as a liquor that fishermen used at sea. It was believed that the combination of herbs and spices would keep people healthy in the often harsh conditions. In the 80’s it made a resurgence within the Netherlands when Amsterdam based distillery Bols reissued the original recipe as 'Bols Black'.In 2015 the drink made waves in the mixology community when Dutch bartender Tess Posthumus used it during the Diageo World Class mixing competition. Since then cocktails based on the liquor have appeared in high-end bars around the world.
