  1. 2 cupbrown sugar
  2. 1/2 cupshortening
  3. 1eggs
  4. 1 cupmilk
  5. 1 tspbaking soda
  6. 2 cupflour
  7. 1/2 tspvanilla extract
  8. 1/2 tspsalt
  9. 3 cuprhubarb
  10. 1/4 cupsugar
  11. 1/2 tspcinnamon

Cooking Instructions

    Mix baking soda into milk and let set until the milk is room temperature

    Cut in brown sugar to shortening

  3. 3

    Add egg and mix until well blended

  4. 4

    Stir in milk and vanilla until well blended

  5. 5

    Add flour and salt mix well

  6. 6

    Add rhubarb

  7. 7

    Grease and flour 9x13 cake pan and pour batter into pan.

    Mix sugar and cinnamon and sprinke over the top

  9. 9

    Bake at 375 for 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely before cutting
