Ingredients

  • Vegetables
  • 2 tbspbutter (for frying)
  • 2 clovegarlic, minced
  • 1 mediumonion, I prefer mine cut into wedges
  • 1green bell pepper, cut into thin slices
  • 2Roma tomatoes
  • 1 tspsalt
  • 1 tspground black pepper
  • 1 tbsptumeric powder
  • Koobideh
  • 1 lbground lamb (could also do half beef, half lamb)
  • 1egg
  • 1/3 cupflour
  • 1 tspsalt
  • 1 tspground black pepper
  • 1 tsponion powder
  • 1 tspgarlic powder
  • 1 tbsptumeric powder
  • Yogurt
  • 1 cuplowfat, plain yogurt
  • 1salt
  • 1mint

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix all ingredients for the koobideh and form into six logs. You may need to add more or less flour to get your logs to form properly.

  2. 2

    Either grill or fry your koobideh until brown on the outside and the internal temperature reads 165°f, turning halfway.

  3. 3

    In a separate pan, melt butter over medium high heat. Add garlic and fry until brown, few minutes.

  4. 4

    Add onion and pepper and fry until just barely firm. Add tomatoes and finish cooking through.

  5. 5

    Mix yogurt, salt, and mint together. I like mine very flavorful so I like to use a lot of both. Serve on side of meat.
