Ingredients

4 servings
  • 1 tbspOlive Oil
  • 1 lbItalian Sausage (ground or with casing removed)
  • 1(14.5 oz) Can Diced Tomatoes
  • 1(8 oz) Can Tomato Sauce
  • 1 tbspTomato Paste
  • 1 1/2 tspItalian Seasoning
  • 1 tspGarlic Powder
  • 1 tspOnion Powder
  • 1Salt and Pepper (to taste)
  • 16 ozPkg. Cheese Ravioli
  • 1 1/4 cupWater
  • 1 cupShredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1/2 cupGrated Parmesan Cheese
  • OPTIONAL:
  • 5Fresh Basil leaves (chopped), for topping

Steps

  1. 1

    In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add Italian sausage and cook until browned, 3-5 minutes, crumbling sausage as it cooks.

  2. 2

    Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt and pepper to taste. Stir in ravioli and water. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat and simmer until ravioli is tender, about 10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Remove from heat. Sprinkle with Mozzarella and Parmesan. Place under your broiler and cook until melted and golden brown, 2-4 minutes.

  4. 4

    Serve immediately and garnish with fresh basil, if desired.
