Very easy and healthy style of cooking rice. I make this atleast once every week.

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 1 cupBasmati Rice
  2. 1onion, chopped
  3. 2 tbspGhee
  4. 2 piecegreen chillies, diced
  5. 3/4 tspturmeric powder
  6. 3/4 tspcorriander powdee
  7. 1/2 tspGaram Masala
  8. 1/2 tbspginger garlic paste
  9. 1/4 cupmint leaves
  10. 1 tspcinnamon, cardamom pods (crushed) and cloves
  11. 2 cupwater, to cook rice
  12. 1salt to taste

Cooking Instructions

    Clean and soak rice for 10-15 minutes

  2. 2

    In and a large microwave proof bowl, add ghee, onion, green chillies and ginger garlic paste. Mix well and micro at high power for 3 min

  3. 3

    Add corriander powder, turmeric powder and garam masala. Stir and micro at high power for 30 seconds.

    Then add rice, water, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and salt. Stir well and micro for 13 min. Do not forget to cover the bowl with a lid.

    Stir well and let it stay covered for 3 min .
