White Wine Garlic Alfredo Sauce

Ingredients

  1. 1 cupHeavy Whipping Cream
  2. 1 1/2 cupgrated or shredded parmesan cheese
  3. 1/3 cupwhite wine (Barefoot Chardonnay is what I use)
  4. 1 clovegarlic
  5. 1salt and pepper
  6. 1/2 cupsautéed mushrooms (optional)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    In medium sauce pan heat heavy whipping cream over medium heat, stirring occasionally. (DO NOT LET BOIL) Depending on your stove heat for 5-15 minutes.

    Add pressed garlic.

  3. 3

    Slowly add parmesan cheese, stirring constantly.

  4. 4

    Slowly add white wine, still constantly stirring. Salt and pepper to taste, and add mushrooms.

    Reduce heat, stir until thickened.

    I add about 1 lb of chicken to mine, and serve over fettuccine.
