Recipe adapted from a Facebook video I saw online. It's sweet, savory and works great on chicken wings and drumsticks too! With the sauce, it will be a hit with the kids. It's really simple to make because you only need to make and adjust the sauce, marinade and pop it into the oven!

Ingredients

  1. Chicken wings
  2. 2 tbspchili sauce (garlic or Thai chili sauce optional)
  3. 2.5 tbspBBQ sauce
  4. 1.5 tspWorcestershire sauce
  5. 1.5 tbspdijon mustard
  6. 4 clovesminced garlic
  7. 1 tbspbrown sugar (honey or normal sugar will also do)
  8. 1 tsppaprika
  9. 1 tspchili powder
  10. 1 dashsalt
  11. 1 dashblack pepper
  12. 2 tbspsesame seed oil
  13. 1 tbspsoy sauce (optional)
  14. 1 tbspcorn flour
  15. 1.5 cupchicken broth (or water)
  16. chicken keel (cut up), wings or drumsticks

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Mix all of the above (except corn flour, chicken broth and soy sauce) into a bowl and taste. Adjust to taste

    Pour 3/4 of the sauce together with chicken and mix well. Marinade for at least 2 hours

  3. 3

    Place chicken into oven at approximately 120 - 160 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes (depends on oven)

    Heat up a pot and pour balance of mixture of sauce into the pot. Add water/broth, soy sauce and adjust to taste. Create slurry with corn flour and water and pour into cooked sauce, mix well and reserve

  5. 5

    When the chicken is done, plate and pour sauce over chicken and serve! The sauce can be used as a dipping sauce if you set it aside.
