Ingredients

  1. 175 gramsspaghetti
  2. 1red chilli
  3. 2spring onions
  4. 3 clovegarlic
  5. 1/2 cupchicken stock
  6. 3 slicesmoked bacon
  7. 1 pinchparsley
  8. 1 tbspolive oil

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Chop chilli, spring opinions and garlic all into fine pieces and add to oil in a pan

  2. 2

    Cut bacon into lardons and cook until browning gently

  3. 3

    Boil spaghetti in slightly salted water with a splash of oil

  4. 4

    Heat pan containing chopped chilli, garlic and onions. As garlic starts to colour, add chicken stock. Reduce to a gentle heat.

    Add bacon to oil/stock mix

  6. 6

    Keep checking spaghetti until al dente - do not over cook

  7. 7

    Drain spaghetti and add to pan

  8. 8

    Add half the parsley and toss to thoroughly coat pasta with sauce

  9. 9

    Serve immediately garnishing with remainder of parsley and parmesan if required
