19 ozbag frozen cheese tortellini
6 ozbag fresh spinach
28 ozdiced tomatos w/ Italian seasoning
1 lbground sausage
4 cupchicken broth
4 ozneufchatel cheese

Cooking Instructions

15 mins

Brown sausage in nonstick skillet over medium heat.

Add sausage and all other ingredients - except spinach - to crock pot.

Cook on LOW 4-6 hours, stirring occasionally to break up neufchatel and to check tortellinis for doneness.

Add spinach to crock pot 5-10 minutes before serving. ENJOY!

I'm posting these comments from my own experience. please don't take them as harsh criticism of you - they aren't. Personally, I will tweak this recipe if I make it again. I think it needs more seasoning, at least salt. Maybe spicy sausage would be better, along with some additional dried Italian seasoning and crushed red pepper flakes (both of which I added). I might also try a different flavor of pasta next time, maybe the sausage flavor would add an extra boost. I also thought the texture of the tortellini was mush after cooking that long. Next time I would add it nearer the end of the cooking time depending if fresh or frozen is used. Personally, I like more broth so I might cut the amount of tortellini in half. I post my comments in the hopes that they will help other people, and I like the base of your recipe. It's very easy to make, and pretty healthy also. Thank you for posting it. ☺
