Crispy Pan-Fried Potatoes Crispy Pan-Fried Potatoes
I often cook potatoes in the microwave to save time, so I make fried potatoes this way too. It's a bother to take care of the oil after deep frying, so I just panfried the potatoes in olive oil for a crispy finish.Cook the potatoes in the microwave until soft, then cook the surface until crispy in a frying pan.The microwaving time varies depending on your microwave, so please adjust it.Add some salt or herbs to vary the flavor. For an easy-to-make amount (about 2 servings). Recipe by yaburie cookpad.japan -

Basic Fried Potatoes Basic Fried Potatoes
When I was young, I pored over ancient cookbooks. I couldn’t afford to take the family to dinner or fill a freezer with convenience foods because I was so broke. So I took what I learned from my mom and read every cookbook I could get my hands on, and started educating myself. If I couldn’t buy it, I would make it with inexpensive, bare bones ingredients. But first I had to learn HOW to make it. As we all know, we’re still in school 😂 my basics are, as an example, potatoes, eggs, cooked sauces, a chunk of meat, cakes, cookies, veg, etc. I’ve made a LOT of bad food in my life but I’ve also made really good stuff too. My first roast I ever made took 20 minutes, it was grey, and it bounced🤣🤣 With these basic recipes I’m posting, I’m hoping someone can get some good basic knowledge to feed themselves and their families good homemade food and not be a slave to the high prices. A sack of potatoes is cheaper than a bag of frozen fries and tastes waaaaay better and you get so much more bang for your buck with more than one serving and options. French Fried Baked Potatoes French Fried Baked Potatoes
Baked potatoes, a staple side dish. I think it's neat that everyone has their own style of making them. I like to eat not just the inside but the outside as well. The problem was that the outside was kinda soft and unfavorable. I'm sure that I'm not the first one to think of this, but I exprimented and found a way for the skin to be crispy, but the inside is soft and fluffy. Just how I like them. Top the potatoes however you like. I like a bit of butter, French fry seasoning, and some melted cheese on mine. Raven -
Fried Smashed Potatoes Fried Smashed Potatoes
I had some red potatoes that were a little on the small side. I was going to make “Cottage Fries” and decided against it. I thought, “Why don’t I just smash these damned things and fry them whole”? It worked out great, nice and crispy. Karl -
