cut cucumbers in half length-wise and scoop out seeds with a spoon. slice in half again and cut into chunks.

peal nashi pear and cut thinly

combine cucumber and pear in a large bowl and sprinkle .5 tsp salt

in small bowl, combine salt, soysauce, vinegar, sugar, and chilis.

place into large bowl with the cucumbers and nashi
- 6
cover and let sit over night.
