Steps
- 1
Preheat oven to 350ºF
- 2
Wash the chicken thouroughly, and remove the innards; pat dry.
- 3
Use the rub on both the inside and out side of the chicken.
- 4
Use a bottle opener to punch several holes in the top of the beer can; set aside half the can for another purpose. You can add extra rub to the beer if you choose.
- 5
Place the chicken upright over the can.
- 6
Place the chicken in a roasting pan.
- 7
Roast the chicken for two hours, or until the skin is crisp, the meat is done, and the juice runs clear.
- 8
You don't need to baste the chicken.
- 9
When done; remove from can and let set 10 minutes before carving.
