Beat butter, sugar and vanilla in a large bowl until fluffy

add the flour and walnuts; beat on low speed of mixer until well blended.

Collect dough into a ball and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate one to two hours

Heat oven to 375 fahrenheit. Use about one tablespoon of dough per kiss. shape the dough around each, making sure the kiss is covered completely. Try to give the cookie a rounded shape, if it doesn't work, don't worry about it, the main goal is to make sure the kiss is covered.

Place on baking sheet covered with parchment paper

Bake for 10 - 12 minutes or until cookies are set but not browned. Remove from cookie sheet to a wire rack to cool slightly

While still slightly warm, roll each cookie into powdered sugar. Cool completely

Store in a tightly covered container. Roll in powdered sugar again just before serving
