My mother's lasagne.
Steps

Finely chop onion, capsicum and add to nonstick frying pan, with garlic, olive oil, and a dash of basil.

Sauté pan on high for 5 minutes, mixing frequently.

Add tinned tomatoes and tomato puree to a (big) pot, with contents of frying pan and a pinch of salt, then put it on a medium simmer.

While the pot simmers, add mince to pan and sauté until brown, breaking it up with a wooden spatula/spoon.

Add cooked mince to pot, continue to simmer until juice has soaked in, stirring frequently.

Now let's make the white sauce! Add butter to a new saucepan on low simmer.

Add flour and mix, let cook for a minute.

Slowly add milk while mixing, then add a pinch of salt. Simmer until thick.

Spray square pan with oil (eg. coconut oil) and spread mince on the bottom.

Spread white sauce over the top, then cover with lasagne sheets.

Repeat steps 9 and 10 until pan is full. Final order should be (mince, sheets), (mince, sauce, sheets), (mince, sauce). Repeat middle layer as desired.

Grate cheese on top.

Cook for 45 minutes at 180°F.
