Alfredo

Used to buy the jarred stuff but this beats it by a million! This recipe was from online. Didn't have garlic powder on hand so used garlic salt, and it still was great! I added sautéd shrimp and onions and it was heaven! This just made my favorite list!:)

Used to buy the jarred stuff but this beats it by a million! This recipe was from online. Didn't have garlic powder on hand so used garlic salt, and it still was great! I added sautéd shrimp and onions and it was heaven! This just made my favorite list!:)
Steps
- 1
Melt butter in a medium, non-stick saucepan over medium heat.
- 2
Add cream cheese and garlic powder, stirring with wire whisk until smooth. You HAVE to use a wire whisk, it is essential!
- 3
Add milk a little at a time, whisking to smooth out lumps.
- 4
Stir in parmesan and pepper.
- 5
Remove from heat when sauce reaches desired consistency.
- 6
If sauce begins to thicken too much thin it with milk.
- 7
Add to your favorite noodles and experiment some!
- 8
I added sauteed shrimp and onions and they made the dish complete!
- 9
Enjoy!
