Ingredients

  • 2eggs
  • 1/3 cupmilk
  • 2 cupbread crumbs
  • 1 1/2 tspsalt
  • 2 lbground turkey or beef
  • 2 smallgarlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tspbutter
  • 1 cupketchup
  • 2/3 cupchili sauce
  • 1/4 cupbrown sugar
  • 2 tbspworcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbspdijon mustard
  • 2 tspcelery seed
  • 1/2 tspsalt
  • 1/4 tsphot pepper sauce
  • 8submarine rolls

    In bowl beat eggs and milk. Stir in bread crumbs and salt. Add beef. Mix well. Shape into 1inch balls. Place meat balls on to greased rack in shallow baking pan. Bake at 375 for 15 to 20 and drain.

    In a sauce pan saute garlic and butter. Add ketchup, chili sauce, brown sugar, worcestershire sauce, mustard, celery seed, 1/2 teaspoon salt and hot pepper sauce. Bring to a boil add meatballs. Reduce heat simmer for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally.

    Carefully hollow out buns leaving 1/2 in shell. Spoon meatball mixture into bun. Enjoy.
