Mike's Military SOS Gravy Thick Toast & Corn Beef Hash

Since one of my 7 year old exceptional culinary students already knew how to make Naan Bread - she asked to make anything else alone instead. Being the adoptive foster daughter of a Master Sergeant - she decided upon this military dish with a twist. Delicious! Try this over thick toast or biscuits! Great work Amanda!

Mike's Savory Southern Onion Mushroom Gravy Mike's Savory Southern Onion Mushroom Gravy
Slather this delicious Southern gravy over everything from mashed potatoes, bangers [sausages] and/or to the side of french fries in a separate bowl. Or, directly over a poutine with cheese curds, noodles of any kind, rice, open faced beef or turkey sandwiches, steaks or hamburger steaks. So ya, pretty much anything other than flip flops and cupcakes. 😉Be sure to use Viadailla Onions for their sweetness to combat some of the sodium in this dish. Or, simply employ a low sodium broth to help cut it out by half. All I know is that we DO love our salt down here in the South so, taste test and go from there! 😆 MMOBRIEN -

I tend to look for this on good breakfast menus when I know it’s not prepared from a can. There’s just no substitute for the real - deal. Mike's Faux Bananas Foster French Toast Mike's Faux Bananas Foster French Toast
Thanks to Andrew Zimmern, my students learned about Bananas Foster and begged me to teach them how to make it. #1: They're not advanced enough to flambé. And, #2: I'm not feeding them rum. With that, here was our compromise. The kids went nuts for it! Especially with their sides of vanilla ice cream! MMOBRIEN -
