Pear Yeast Pear Yeast
When I heard you can make yeast from all kinds of ingredients, I decided to use a seasonal fruit to make it.Since Asian pears are in season when it's cool, this should be easy to make. The time it takes to ferment depends on the temperature.Be sure to open the lid and smell the mixture at least once a day.If your yeast is successful it should have a delightful smell. Greek Baklava Greek Baklava
My Greek Yiayia (meaning Grandmother in Greek) raised me after my mom died when I was 6 years old. She is from the Peloponnese part of Greece and she always made Baklava and other Greek foods as well. We lived in ALABAMA so she used the pecans from her pecan tree. This was a task because she gathered, cracked and cleaned all of the pecans herself and then milled them with an old fashioned hand turned grinder that she clamped to the side of the kitchen table. She made everything from scratch and I am truly blessed to be raised by her !! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ #baklava #greek ⚡Welderwoman⚡ -

Easy Pear Compote Easy Pear Compote
I've loved pears since I was a child. They are delicious fresh, but I wanted to use them when cooking both sweet and savory dishes, so I made a compote.Since the pears will be simmered, choose pears that are on the firm side. You can serve the compote with ice cream, chop it up and put it in yogurt, or use it for hors d'oeuvres, tarts and other sweets. Recipe by Usagi no Cima. cookpad.japan -
