This dish is easy to eat and never gets boring. My family often makes it when we can't decide what to eat.
Steps
- 1
If using fresh rice noodles, skip this step. If using dried rice noodles, soak them in water for 10 minutes, then boil until cooked. Rinse under cold water.
- 2
Cut the pork into bite-sized pieces and clean the shrimp. Heat a small amount of oil in a pan, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add the pork and stir-fry. When the pork is almost cooked, add the shrimp and continue to stir-fry. Season with seasoning powder.
- 3
Make the sweet and tangy garlic fish sauce by mixing sugar and lime juice to your preferred level of sweetness and tartness. Add fish sauce until it reaches your desired saltiness. Finally, add 1 teaspoon garlic vinegar and minced garlic.
- 4
Place the noodles on a plate, top with the pork and shrimp, then add fried shallots and crushed roasted peanuts (in the photo, I didn't crush them because I was feeling lazy ^^). Finish with fresh herbs and pour the sweet and tangy garlic fish sauce over everything. Toss to combine and enjoy!
