This is my first post ever. I am a baking rookie and off wheat. My second Banana bread but, my first time making Banana bread using flour that is not purely wheat. I wanted to try a somewhat gluten free recipe.
Banana Bread
This is my first post ever. I am a baking rookie and off wheat. My second Banana bread but, my first time making Banana bread using flour that is not purely wheat. I wanted to try a somewhat gluten free recipe.
Steps
- 1
Pre heat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius. Prepare the bread pan. I still haven't bought a bread pan (am a rookie heheh) so I used a cake pan.
- 2
Using a fork in a bowl, mash the bananas until very fine /smooth.
- 3
Add the sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and vanilla essence and mix
- 4
Add the butter and eggs and mix everything thoroughly
- 5
Add the flour and continue mixing. You can use a mixer or hand. I used the flour as pictured
- 6
Continue mixing until the batter becomes thick as pictured.
- 7
Once the batter is mixed, transfer it to the pan and into the oven. Set the timer for 50 minutes.
- 8
Once the cake browns, check using a tooth pick or fork whether it's cooked. If the pick or fork comes out clean then the bread is cooked. You don't need to wait the entire 50 minutes.
- 9
This is the final product. I will buy a bread pan...I promise
