Ingredients

  1. 5 pcsJumbo size Prawns
  2. 2 table spoonMustard seeds
  3. 2 table spoonPoppy seeds (posto)
  4. 4Green chilli
  5. Mustard oil 1 teaspoon for each Prawns and to fry the prawns
  6. 1 pinchTurmeric powder
  7. Salt as per test

Steps

  1. 1

    Firstly clean the prawns. And add salt on it and leave it for 10 mins to drain the water of prawns.

  2. 2

    On the other side make a thick paste of mustard seed,poppy seeds and green chilli.

  3. 3

    Then marinated the prawns with the paste along with mustard oil, turmeric powder and salt as per taste. Rest it for half an hour.

  4. 4

    Cut the banana leaves in approx 8 inches length.then boil the leaves in salted water for 2-3 mins.

  5. 5

    Then wrap the marinated prawns in banana leaf and tie a knot with string.

  6. 6

    Lastly fry it in mustard oil. Have it with rice.
