Ingredients

30 minutes
4 servings
  • 1 cuptuvar daal
  • 1medium chopped onion
  • 1chopped tomato
  • 1 tspginger garlic paste
  • 1green chilli
  • 1 tspred chilli powder
  • 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  • To tastesalt
  • 1 pinchhing
  • 1/2 tspcumin
  • 1/2 tspmustard
  • 1bay leaf
  • 1/4 cupfresh coriander
  • 1 tspkitchen king masala
  • 2 tspdesi ghee
  • 3 tbspoil
  • as neededwater

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Soak daal for 15 minutes before cooking.heat oil in cooker and add cumin and mustard.let it crackle.

  2. 2

    Add bay leaf,onions and saute till light brown.add ginger garlic paste and saute.

  3. 3

    Add tomatoes,turmeric,salt,red chilli powder,hing,green chilli and saute.

  4. 4

    Add kitchen king masala,coriander and mix nicely.

  5. 5

    Add soaked daal in it and mix it with masala.add 1 and 1/2glass water to it.Stir and cover the lid and cook upto 4 to 5 whistle.

  6. 6

    Now let cooker depressurize itself. Add ghee to it and mix.

  7. 7

    Transfer daal in a bowl and garnish with onion rings,green chilli and red chilli flakes.

  8. 8

    Tuvar daal tadka fry is ready to serve.
