Ingredients

  1. 4-6Colocasia leaves
  2. 1lemon size Tamarind
  3. to tasteSalt
  4. 10-15Bird's eye Chilli or green chilli
  5. 1price Jaggery
  6. 1/4 spoonTurmeric powder
  7. 5 spoongrated fresh coconut
  8. 5 clovegarlic
  9. 2 spoonscoconut oil
  10. 1/4 spoonmustard seeds
  11. 1 spring curry leaves
  12. 1/4 spoonjeera seeds
  13. 2deghi chilli
  14. 4 pinch asafoetida

Steps

15 minutes
  1. 1

    Wash and clean colocasia leaves

  2. 2

    Boil water with Colocasia leaves, Tamarind,salt and bird's eye chilli until the colour of leaves change.

  3. 3

    Let it cool and afterwards grind it with grated coconut.

  4. 4

    Prepare tempering in a kadai using oil, mustard, jeera, garlic, red dry chilli, curry leaves and asafoetida

  5. 5

    Add the grinded mix into tempering.

  6. 6

    Now add turmeric powder, jaggery.

  7. 7

    Boil it is nicely.

  8. 8

    Serve with hot rice.
