Masoor dal and bati

To make bati add all ingredients and mix it well. Add some water and knead a dough. Rest the dough for 1/2 hour.

Make equal balls from the dough. Bake all balls in 180d for 40 to 50 minutes or it turns golden in colour in preheated oven.

To make dal soak all dals in water for 1/2 hour.

Drain it and put it in pressure cooker,add 11/2 cup water and cook it till 2 whistle.

Then add water (as require), salt, lemon juice and turmeric powder and let it boil for 5 min in law flame.

For tempering heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds.when it crackle,add cumin, dry red chilli and asafetida. Then add tomato paste,red chilli and garam masala, cook it for 1 min.

Add this tempering in the dal, add coriander leaves.

In a serving plate put bati and bowl of dal. pour some ghee on batis and enjoy it.
