Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 Litercoconut milk (I use 500 gram instant kara)
  2. 1turmeric leaf, torn and knotted
  3. 6kaffir lime leaves
  4. 2 stalklemon grass, bruised
  5. 1-2spicies asam gelugur (gracinia atnoviridis)
  6. 10 piecesred chilies, finely sliced
  7. 1 kgbeef, fat and sinew removed cut into 3 cm cubes
  8. Spice (ground)
  9. 3 cmchopped galangel
  10. 1 cmchopped turmeric
  11. 1 cmchopped ginger
  12. 250 gramred chilies
  13. 5shallots

Steps

  1. 1

    Simmer coconut with turmeric leaf, kaffir lime leaves, lemon grass and asam gelugur, slice chilies and ground spicies until the milk thickeness and become oily.

    Reduce heat, add beef and cook until tender.

    Stir occasionally until the spices dry and turn brown.

    Serve with yellow rice or white rice, and some pickle
