Steps
- 1
Wash the goat meat thoroughly and place it in a pressure cooker. Add 2 cups water (about 480 ml), 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder, and salt to taste. Close the lid and cook for 4-5 whistles, then turn off the heat.
- 2
Add all the spices to a blender jar along with 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro and 2 tablespoons water. Blend into a paste (leave out the bay leaves and cinnamon stick).
- 3
Heat oil in a deep pan. Add the bay leaves, cinnamon stick, and onion paste. Sauté until golden brown.
- 4
Add the spice paste and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Then add the chopped potato and salt, mix well, cover, and cook for 5 minutes.
- 5
Uncover, add the boiled mutton, mix well, and add water as needed. Cover and cook on medium-low heat for 10-15 minutes.
- 6
After 10-15 minutes, uncover and mix well. Turn off the heat, add finely chopped cilantro, and serve hot with roti or rice.
