Moong Dal Khichdi With Guava Sabji

Wash the rice and both the daals well and soak them in enough water to cover them for at least 30-minutes

Hear ghee in the pressure cooker and add cloves, chopped garlic and red chilli powder saute for two minutes on medium flame

Drain all the water from the rice and lentils and add them to the cooker. Add haldi powder, redchilli powder, salt and water to the cooker and pressure cook for 5-6 whistles.

Once all the pressure has released, open the pressure cooker and mix well.

After mixing the rice and dal

Serve hot with ghee and Guava sabji.

Guava Sabji:Heat oil in a kadai and add hing and cumin seeds.

When a nice aroma is given out, add Guava pieces and stir

Add green chilli, red chilli powder, salt and sugar and mix well add water, cover and cook on low flame 5-6 minutes

Guava pieces become soft

Sabji is ready. Serve hot.
