The traditional ukadiche modak (steamed and coconut jaggery filling) in rainbow colour.
Steps

Stuffing- Heat a kadhai, add grated coconut, jaggery, cardamom powder, pepper powder mix well.

For Dough - Boil 2cups water, add ghee, salt, sugar.
Add rice flour, mix well till dry. Switch off. Cover for 10min. - 3
After 10min mash the dough well till smooth.

Divide the dough into 6parts. Add pinch of food colour in each dough and mix well.

I have used four food colors and added little beetroot juice for light pink colour and 2tsp beetroot juice for dark pink colour.
Now 6colorful doughs are ready. - 6
Take small parts from each dough and carefully arrange in the mould, stuff with the coconut jaggery filling and cover.

Like this repeat the process for making all the modak.

Heat a steamer. Arrange turmeric leaves on the steamer plate, grease with little ghee and place the modaks.
steam for 10min covered. - 9
Switch off, take out carefully.

The traditional steamed modaks are ready to be served.
