Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsPuffed rice (kurmura/murmura)
  2. 1/2 cupSev
  3. 1/4 cupRoasted masala chana dal
  4. 1/4 cupRoasted peanuts
  5. 8Papadi crisp
  6. 1 mediumOnion
  7. 2 mediumPotatoes
  8. 2-3Green chillies
  9. to tasteSalt
  10. 1/4 cupGreen chutney
  11. 1/2 cupTamarind chutney
  12. 2 tablespoonsGarlic and red chilli chutney
  13. 1 teaspoonLemon juice
  14. 10-12Soaked and peeled almonds
  15. 2 tbspsSoaked walnuts
  16. 1/4 bunchFresh coriander leaves
  17. 2 tbspsPomegranate seeds

Steps

15 minutes
  1. 1

    Peel onion and chop finely. Clean coriander leaves, wash well and then chop finely. Boil potatoes, peel and cut into bite sized pieces. Wash, remove stem and finely chop green chillies.

  2. 2

    Combine puffed rice, onion, roasted chana dal, peanuts, potatoes, green chillies, half of the sev and toss well. Add four crushed puris and mix. Add salt to taste. Add pomegranate seeds.Add the three chutneys as per your taste and mix well. Add lemon juice and mix.

  3. 3

    Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and the remaining sev,pomegranate seeds,soaked and peeled almonds,walnuts.Serve immediately otherwise it would get soggy.

    Very tasty and healthy starter.
