Many kind of food from my home country that I miss so much. What I have always been doing is trying to replicate them here. This is one of my favorite food from my favorite restaurant in my home country. I think I've done pretty good to copycat and maybe you'd like to give it a try.

Ingredients

  1. 350 grboneless skinless chicken (can be breast or thigh)
  2. 1/2 tspgrated ginger
  3. 2 clovesgarlic, grated
  4. 1 tspsalt
  5. to tasteground black/white pepper
  6. 2eggs, lightly beaten
  7. Coating Ingredients :
  8. 100 grtapioca flour
  9. 25 gramscornstarch
  10. Sprinkle Seasoning (mix well) :
  11. 1/2 tspsalt
  12. 1/4 tspfive spice powder
  13. 1/4 tspground white pepper

Cooking Instructions

    Cut the chicken approximately 1/2 inch thickness.

    Mix ginger, garlic, salt and pepper. Rub the mixture to the chicken. Let stand for 1-2 hours in the refrigerator.

    Prepare a beaten egg in a bowl and in a separate place, mix well the coating ingredients.

    Dip the chicken meat into the egg. Coat with the flour. Dip it again into the egg, then coat it with the flour.

    Heat oil for deep fry the chicken over medium heat. Fry the chicken until golden light brown.

    Let the chicken cool down a little bit then slice it in little pieces if you like, then transfer it to a serving plate. Sprinkle with five spice seasoning mixture over the fried chicken as much as you like.
