Soak black urad dal for 1/2 hr. Drain it. Add dal, salt and water in pressure cooker. Pressure cook on high for 1 whistle & then simmer the flame & cook for 40-45 min. Switch of the flame. Let the steam go off.

Heat oil in kadai. Add jeera, dry red chilli & let it splutter for a min. Add ginger garlic, onion & tomato. Fry for few mins. Add salt, red chilli powder, Dal makhni masala, coriander masala & garam masala. Mix well.

Add boiled & cooked dal. Mix well. Add more water if the consistency is too thick. Boil it. Switch off the flame & serve hot.
