Ingredients

8 servings
  1. 2 cupscraped coconut
  2. 1 cupsugar - powdered
  3. 1 cuphomemade -malai
  4. 1/2 cupmilk powder
  5. 1 tspghee to grease hands or moulds
  6. 2 tsporange squash
  7. 4-dropsorange essence
  8. as neededsilver balls and chopped dry fruits to fill.-as required
  9. 4 tbspdessicated coconut to coat -4tbsps
  10. as neededrose petals to decorate platter

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix sugar and malai well. Add scraped coconut and mix. Transfer the mixture into a pan and cook, stirring continuously with a spatula.

    Add milk powder. Continue cooking for about ten minutes or till the mixture becomes a little dry and begins to leave the sides of the pan. Add orange squash and orange essence.

    Mix well.Cool the mixture.Divide the mixture into 8-10 parts and fill with some filling of dry fruits.

    Shape each part into kalush shape by greased hands or using greased moulds.Decorate each kalush with silver balls and coat with dessicated coconut.

    Decorate platter with rose petals.
