Cook daal and mash and keep it aside

Heat oil in a pan add add mustard and jeera. add curry leaf and onion salt saute. add tomatoes cook till it becomes mushy.

Add sambar powder and tamarind juice

Add mashed daal and required quantity of water

Bring it to boil. add chopped coriander.

Serve with idli.
