Soak urad daal for two hours.

Grind it with two green chilli and ginger.

Add very little water while grinding.

Make smooth batter and add hing salt and pepper powder.

Whisk batter well Give vada shape.

Fry vadas until golden brown on medium hot oil.

Boil arhar daal in 3 cups water

Mash well.

In a pan take one table spoon oil.

When hot add mustardurad daal and curry leaves.

Add chopped onion tomato and green chilli.

When tomatoes are mushy add salt haldi red chilli powder and sambar masala.

Add mashed daal, enough water and bring it to boil.

Finally add tamrind pulp.

Soak vadas in diluted sambar first.

While serving pour thick sambar.

Garnish with coriander and chopped onion.
