Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsChicken Breast, cubed
  2. 2 cupsHam, cubed
  3. 1 1/4 cupsMonterey Jack Cheese, grated
  4. 1 cupMilk
  5. 1 cupChicken Broth
  6. 1/2 teaspoonCayenne pepper
  7. to tasteSalt & Pepper
  8. 5 tablespoonsButter
  9. 3 tablespoonsFlour
  10. 1/2 cupPanko Breadcrumbs

Steps

  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  2. 2

    Grease 9x13 baking dish with butter or spray

  3. 3

    Layer 1/2 the chicken, 1/2 the ham, and about 1/2 cup of cheese. Repeat once.

  4. 4

    Melt 5 tbsp in a sauce pan

  5. 5

    Put breadcrumbs in a bowl, add half the melted butter. Mix then set aside

  6. 6

    Add flour to the sauce plan to create a roux

  7. 7

    Add milk, broth, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper to roux. Mix until it thickens slightly. Then remove from heat and add the rest of the cheese.

  8. 8

    Pour the liquid over the casserole then add the breadcrumb mixture

  9. 9

    Bake for 30-40 minutes
