To me eid El Kabir is not complete without dambun nama #sokoto #sokotostate
Steps
- 1
I used roasted meat, like the way #Sokoto people roast their meat during eidil kabir, this way the meat will get soft easier
- 2
I use a knife and cut the places that do not have bones, cartilages and vein, only pure lean meat,
- 3
Pour the meat in a pot, and add all the ingredients except the oil.
- 4
Add water and place on medium heat allow to cook till it's very very soft, The way you can separate the meat fibre, and the water has dried up
- 5
Place in small quantity into the mortar and pound well. Pour oil or tallow in a pot and sliced onions in it, fry the onions till golden brown, The add the grounded meat, and keep stirring With a wooden spoon or muciya.
- 6
When done, that is if the meat become golden, drain in a colander, allow to cool a little then use a plate and squeeze out the excess oil.
- 7
Your dambun nama is ready, enjoy!
