Delicious churros, a family tradition!
Steps

To make the dough: Heat the water until it is warm (about 104°F/40°C). Pour the water into a bowl, add the salt and baking soda. Mix well, then add the flour. Knead thoroughly.

Place the dough into a churro maker.

Fry in plenty of very hot oil.

If desired, sprinkle with sugar.

Serve with hot chocolate or coffee.
