Stir the flour,Sugar and nutmeg in a small bowl

Next in a larger bowl add the milk egg and vanilla together then with a mixer mix the flour into the milk and egg mix until smooth with no lumps.

Using a dutch oven or heavy bottom deep side pan, pour in 2 inches of oil and heat the oil to 375 degrees. Do not go any hotter as the oil will start to smoke and burn.

Peel the bananas and cut into halves.

Dip the bananas into the batter and then transfer them, using tongs into the hot oil.

Fry for 3-4 minutes, turning or until the batter is crispy and gold brown

Use the tongs to transfer the cooked fried bananas onto a plate lined with paper towels. And some icing sugar sieved on top to finish.
